a story about small local phone seller and the fake Sony Phone in Hong Kong 2ND MAY 2006

W810i, with the logo and all the features that do not work

So I bought this phone in Hong Kong in the heart of a Mobile Phone hub plaza in a town called Mong Kok on the 28th April 2006.

Took it home and realised the MP3 was running slow. Tested the Camera which said 3mega pixels turns out to be 1.3mega pixels.

Propriety MP4 does not play back any encoded mobile phone mp4 using Ulead Videostudio

So on the 29th April 2006, 12hours later, i went to get it fixed or money back and guess what they said no, the phone was like that they said

Take it up with the distributor! So obviously Eventually I insisted they fix the phone music playback at least

So they said come back the next day.

Next Day, 30th April 2006, the store staff insists not there problem, and then gets real aggressive shouting....so when that happens you kinda
know they know they are wrong...Calls two other staff from stores next to his store. So at the end of the fracus he gave me the consumer council
phone no.  Refused to refund, they have a no refund policy despite the turning out to be fake, mp3 playback is slow, mp4 playback (none),
built in camera 1.3 mega pixel (not 3mega pixel).

The only thing that works is the Touch Screen phone, nice.

So now i am gonna test out the Hong Kong Consumer Law seeing that they gave me the phone no to them in arrogance that the law was on
there side! This is a test for Consumer law here in Hong Kong (for me and any tourists, expats coming here)

Touch Screen is the only thing that works properly and it's not my problem when all the phones the store tested are the same.

If it sports the words "walkman" and uses the "walkman" logo, and it's not a walkman, not 3 mega pixel, not my mp3 music and does not
play mp4, I think the world would agree that a FULL REFUND is unquestionable!

Of course my reciept is a prized possession.
